Mudaliar committee is also called as health survey and planning committee. This committe was formed to check and assess the health infrastructure and developmet made since from the recommendations of Bhore Committe.
Mudaliar committe has given aim to assess the health care delivery system and suggest future plans to improve health system in India.
It was lead by Dr. A. Lakshamanswami Mdaliar, committe was found in 1962.

To Strengthen the Existing Primary health centers
During the survey, Committe has seen that there are many health instituitions but they lack in skilled manpower, sufficient resources to treat the patient.
So, they suggest instead of creting new PHC, or health instituitions, you must focus on strengthening the existing health infrastructure.
It include providing manpower, resources and equipment for proper functioning.
Population Coverage
Many PHC were covering population more than 40K. This committe emphsized that PHC should cover max. 40K population for better health functionality.
Strengthen District Hospital
Mudaliar committe recommends to strengthen district hospital for high quality care, specialist services. So that, They can serve as the referral center for subcenter, PHC and community health center.
To develop regional health adminstration
Committe recommends to develop a separate, regional health adminstration between the state and district level, to properly supervision and coordination between state and district.
Creation of All India Health Services
The committe recommends to establis the All India Healt Services, similar to IAS or IPS. The committe found that doctors and other health care staff were not train for adminstrative task. So, they recommend this to create and hire such professionals and train them in management of health services. Thereafter posting in various district or state level for management of health services.
Improve Medical education
Mudaliar committe recommends to increase the number of seats of postgraduate doctors and also improve the medical education across the country.
