Kidney stones are the extra minerals and salts that present in body, usually accumulated at one place and form the stones. This stones forms in kidney and possibly can spread to the ureter also. Kidney stones wont go just by drinking fluids, it is a one of option to prevent the growth of stones.
Water
Water is important for body. 75 percent of body is consist of water. If a person has a kidney stone he or she should consume at least 2.5 to 3 litres of water per day. This water decreases the solute concentration from the body such as minerals and salts. Therefore, there are chances that the stones will not grow further.
Lemon Juice
Lemon juice contains the citrate present in the lemon. This citrate binds to the calcium present in the urine. It prevent accumulation of calcium and prevent further growth of stone. Taking in moderation is very important for this.
Orange Juice
Orange juice also contains the citrate. That prevents growth of stone. Orange has natural sugar in it, so taking in moderate is important. This juice is helpful in reducing the uric acid and calcium stones.
Lime water
Lime water helps to reduce the uric acid stones. It also helps in same way as lemon juice. It helps to maintain the acidity of the body.
Coconut water
Coconut water is rich in the electrolytes like potassium and magnesium. It also has sugar that provide instant energy. Potassium reduces the acidity of the urine, magnesium binds with the oxalates then reduce the their accumulation.
