Maharashtra Draft Voter List 2026 is Out: What Should Voter Do Now?

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has officially released the Electrol Draft Roll of Maharastra as per the latest Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026.

SIR is special intensive revision, in this BLO i.e. booth level officer is visiting door to door for checking the authentication of the voters. The electoral draft roll has almost remove the 2.07 crore voters or we can say it is missing from draft. This can be due to not properly submitted the SIR forms or incomplete process.

So, they cant be vote right, no. The ECI says not to panic, this is not the permanent deletion. ECI has given a one month time to citizens to check, correct the problems and issues with their voting card. Note down the essential timelines with dates:-

1. Draft Roll Publications date is August 31, 2026
2. Resolve claims and issues with your name – August 31, 2026 to September 30, 2026
3. Scrutiny of the claims – complete will be occured till October 29, 2026
4. Final Electoral roll publication will complete on November 4, 2026

How you can check your name in the Draft voter list?

There are two methods you can check your name in voter list, Online and Offline.

Online method 

1. Visit the offical ECI Electoral search portal or install Voter helpline app or ECINET app. Then enter your EPIC (Voter ID) number, personal details and check your name.
2. Download the PDF of Draft electoral rolls in your district, assembly constituency and then find your name in the pdf.

Offline 

1. Visit your poliing station or Electoral registration office (ERO) or contact the Booth level officer (BLO) for assistance.

What to do if your name is not present in the Electoral Roll?

If your details in the roll are correct then no action is needed and your name will be added into the final Electoral roll.

1. Your name is missing / First time voters – Submit the fresh application for voter registration. On ECI website, fill the form no 6 to add your name.
2. There are mistakes in your details – Fill the form 8, which will correct your name, DOB or photo.
3. You shifted residence – Fill form no 8 to update your current address. It does not matter it is same or outside of the constituency.

If the ineligible/ deceased person is listed – You can raise a complaint by filling form 7 to remove the name.

What documents you are required to fill the forms?

To fill the form 6 or 8 you need to provide some supporting documents any of given below,

1. Identity proof – Adhar card, passport, pan card or Government ID
2. Residence proof – Electricity bill, bank passbook or rental agreement
3. Age proof – Birth certificate
4. Passport size photograph
