How to Stay Calm and Peaceful in Stressful work?

Everyone in this world, who does a work has some stress. This is a natural response of our body and mind. But the stress arise from mental pressures, and emotional burst makes us less productive and less efficient.

This is because, our body and mind (75% minimum) gets busy in sorting things out of stress. So, our focus in work decreases. Therefore, it is very important to stay calm and peaceful during work, so the stress level will be low and your focus on work will eventually increases.

There are many strategies which you can use to remain calm and peacful, but i suggest you to try one strategy at once. Then after your comfor you can choose any of to reduce your stress level.

Before going to strategy, i want to tell you that, this response dont change the external things. So, it means if you learn this strategy, be mentally prepare that situations will be the same you for again, but your response and mindset will be different. You have to practice it untill your stress management will be higher then the stress level.

Focus on one task at a time

This is cause of high stress. People who are focus and work on multiple things, end up in huge stress and burnout. This is because, one cannot do the multiple things. That needs time, activity, and most importantly focus understanding.

What you are doing, that you are working like a machine and expecting results to be same. This is not going to happen. We are human, we have to manage our psychological health and emotional health during the work. If we are working on multiple things one by one without giving time to ourself, didnt taking any break then our body and mind will get overwhelmed and go into a freeze mode.

The stress further increases, because your body and mind is not alligning with your goals and objective. So it is not about eliminating all things and focus on one thing. No, this is not what i am saying. You should focus on one thing for 2 hours then take a 30 min. break and then shift to other work. This increases your productivity mind and emotions will quite stable and easily manageable.

Take a Break

Stress arises when one person, is constantly working without taking a single break. What does this causes.

It causes higher contraction of muscles, strain over eyes, hands and legs muscles. It also causes mental overstimulation that further lead to emotional stress. This is not because your work is very high, it is because you have not given time to relax your brain and emotions to settle after a decent work.

Our brain and heart is a machine that needs break to work properly, otherwise they will be suffer from loss of productivity and results in stress, confusion and no focus signs.

A short break will let you relax and declutter your mind to focus on important things. It also helps you to be more relaxed and makes the work process more peaceful.

So, whatever work you are doing or regardless of how many task you have to do, you should take a break after min 1.5 hour or 2 hour as per your work allows.

Try breathing method

There are many breathing technique. One is simply, take deeper breaths.

When we get overwhelmed the first thing that goes out of control is breathing. So, this breathing if less then it trigger body and mind that our body is under threat. It start fight or flight response. This way the body starts to contract the muscle and try hard to supply oxygen to cells and tissues.

But, the moment you start taking active breathing. All your cells recives oxygen which is important for your productivity.

So, proper breathing is very important while you work to avoid stress and achieve mental peace.

Prioritize yourself

IF you focus on your work, is a good thing. But neglecting your mental and emotional health is not good at all.

If you loose control on yourself got into stress or anxiety then further it will reduce your quality of work and performance.

So, prioritize yourself before work, align work with your comfort level so that work will became an easier thing for you. Rather than stressful thing.
